About Granite Excavating

Granite Excavating LLC is a locally owned excavation company serving Ronan and surrounding communities throughout western Montana.

Founded in 2021, Granite Excavating is led by Clark Classen, who brings more than 25 years of experience in heavy-equipment operation and truck driving. That experience, combined with modern equipment and practical jobsite knowledge, allows Granite Excavating to take on projects ranging from open, bare ground to construction-ready sites.

The company provides site preparation, septic excavation, utility work, driveways, land clearing, foundation excavation, pile driving, and other excavation services. Granite Excavating also has experience driving poles for solar farm projects.

With two excavators, a skid steer, dump truck, dozer, compactor, GPS-equipped machinery, tiltrotators, and a variety of attachments, Granite Excavating is equipped to approach each project with precision and flexibility.

Much of the company’s work has grown through referrals, repeat customers, and relationships with contractors and property owners. Whether the project is large or small, Granite Excavating is ready to discuss the work and determine how to help move it forward.
